I have a '96 Pace Arrow and a 2003 Newmar Mountain Aire. The Pace was our 2nd. Fleetwood after a Jamboree Rallye. We were very happy with our 2 Fleetwoods and also our Newmar. I just hope one of the 2 sells soon.

A friend of mine and I did some comparing last year between our Fleetwoods, he has a '04 Bounder, mine is a '04 Pace Arrow, with Monaco. We compared things like the wood, wall coverings, drawers, etc. to see how each was built.
For the most part the cabinetry on the each were pretty much equal, but things like the drawer rails in the Fleetwoods were better then Monaco by a long shot. We were comparing what we considered equal price based on the coach models.
To me low-end would indicate the lower priced models different manufacturers produce. In other words every manufacturer has low-end models within their offerings. Just as well they have high-end models too.
I agree with RV Roamer, as he says look at Fleetwoods American Eagle, American Dream or American Heritage or American Tradition. Also our Pace Arrow is no slouch either. It's considered their high-end gasser. There are some things I don't like about the Pace Arrow, but all in all it's top of the line.

Yes, there are some things I don't like about our Pace Arrow, but I am picky about things. No matter what I have, I will always be changing or moving things. By the way, this is my second Pace Arrow. What does that tell you?
For a gasser, you won't find much better, but again, that is my opinion. Last year while camping, we met a couple full timers and we were admiring their coach. It was an Adventure, which I though would be the same as ours. We went inside theirs and I was telling him how nice his coach is, and he felt really good about his. When we went in mine, the moment he walked in, his mouth fell, immediately saying that my coach was fancier than his. I felt the same way. He had fomiker tabletops and cloth seats while ours has all leather seating and corion tabletops and so on.
The PA will stack up against any other gas coach, even some low-end diesel coaches. This is my story and I am sticking to it..........

In 1989 we bought a relatively small Southwind Class A. It was a 27 footer. It was our first RV beyond years of pop-up camping. It had plenty of quality control issues for sure. Not a well driven screw in the whole coach. But I managed to overlook such details and considered it a wonerful machine overall. Oh it had minor delamination problems that somewhat spoiled it cosmetically. It would occasionally need a repair for something probably all MH's need at one time or another, and I'd get her fixed and kept on camping. Last week we finally sold it and must admit we miss the old girl. We had 17 years of very enjoyable times in that low end machine with all those crooked rusty screws. I won't put down Fleetwood.

Our last two RV's have been Fleetwood products, '96 Westport 345 and now 2005 Prowler Regal AX6BSQS, and we've had no major problems with each. IMHO they are both quality products. Daughter and SIL are full-timimg in the Westport in Fla. pending their eventual move to TN. We're looking forward to full-timing in the Regal within the next couple of years. Have used Fleetwoods customer service a couple of times with questions and they were courtious and prompt with answers. We wouldn't hesitate to buy another Fleetwood product.

When I bought my tioga motor home, I looked at other brands of MH. The Fleetwood was much cheaper and built the same as the rest, with a higher mgw. They all had the same appliances

We are on our third motorhome and second Fleetwood - a 2004 American Tradition. You'd have to be pretty cheeky to call a Tradition "entry level" - it's luxury class all the way. Though it is only the bottom of the Fleetwood American Coach product line...

Have had 3 coaches so far.
2004 Tropical / 330 Cat...Excellent coach no major problems. Little shy on power for what I do.
2005 American Tradition / 370 Cummins ISL. Great coach also. No major issues.
2006 Revolution LE-E. CAT C9. Rear air-bag problem (Spartan Chassis issue)other than that it's been trouble free. This one I plan on keeping for a while.

Maybe Fleetwood will be even better now that they have said that they are closing the factory in th USA and moving production to Mexico where they will be paying the workers about four dollars per hour!!!

Fleetwood builds every level
The only new vehicle I have ever owned was a 1978 31' Pace Arrow. It had a few minor problems, everything does.
It served me well and faithfully on many long trips, Square Dance weekends and three years of living in it full time.
SOMETHING TO REMEMBER
ALL RV's are COMPOSITE ASSEMBLIES.
There are only two major chassis makers (gas), you have an over 90% probability that your generator is an Onan and your fridge is a Dometic, a couple of stove makers, ONE water heater and one water pump maker.
If your charger/converter dies or the igniter panel on your water heater, it could just as easily have died in a $25,000 trailer as a $140,000 Class A.
I am currently looking for a 10 year old Gas Bounder to get back out on the road.
