Shower does not drain. We have taken the cap off and snaked the pipe under the bed & put a hose into the pipe and water drains to the tank. But when we put the hose into the shower water fills up in the shower and the pipe where we took the cap off is now filled up and not draining. Help please

Howdy and welcome. I'll ask the obvious...is your gray tank full?

We have tilted the motorhome on jacks and the water flows out of the pipe. So it must be the p trap.

I was hoping someone with a Southwind would offer better advice than mine..haha. Have you made sure the vent pipe is clear?

Tilting the coach doesn't affect the P-trap and presumably your snake worked its way through the trap anyway.
Does your gray tank drain easily and completely? It sounds as though water is backing up in the tank, preventing the shower from draining. The shower is the lowest point of entry to the gray tank, so its the first place that water backs up into.

It sounds like your drain line is running uphill. If your motorhome is not level, the water will not run uphill. If it still will not drain when level, you probably have a drain line that came loose from the clamp and is now not running downhill.

If I understand correctly, water is standing in the shower and a snake has no effect. If this were mine, I would cap the vent pipe on the roof with Duct tape and put a wet vac to the discharge. Just be ready to shut off the valve if something does break loose and water begins to flow. You may have to cap off the other drains to the kitchen and bath sinks. I prefer a vacuum to pressure as it will not force the plumbing pipes apart like pressure would. I hope this helps.
