Portable sat dish tied to rooftop?

I have a portable sat dish that I'd like to be able to hook up to my system. has anyone tied this into the rooftop system? Obviously only one at a time can be used. Just want options when rooftop system is blocked.

TIA

John

It works fine! Get a tripod and enough cable to get out from under the trees. You may have to run the cable in through a window or other hole. Remove the coax from the receiver and plug in the new cable. Run the setup for the portable ant. you should be good to go.

In my rig I was able to use the Park Cable connection. Put a diplexer at the park cable connection point and another on the end of the cable in the entertainment cabinet. Connect the tv output of the diplexer to the park cable input in the ecab. When you want to use the external sat antenna connect the sat output of the ecab diplexer to the sat receiver and the sat antenna to the sat input to the diplexer at the park connection. I have an a/b switch at my sat receiver so I can just switch between rooftop and external sat antennas.

Thanks! this is exactly what I was wondering. And you answered my question as to how to get the signal to the receiver area easily.
Too late to do it before our trip this weekend, but I'll get this on the todo list. Which with this new to us coach, is quite long.
