Power Gear Electric Jacks issue

I recently had a leveler issue that the repair dude told me was due to "AC interference with the DC Power gear control"

So, it started with the right rear jack not retracting and the control going into error mode. After reading information in the manuals and on the forum I changed the brake. (very difficult another story the directions leave a lot to be desired) I then tried resetting the control panel multiple times but I could not get the jack to retract. I tried to reset the system by doing an auto level cycle but that did not work either. Then I used a drill motor and socket to bring the jack up to the stowed position and tried to auto level again but the system went into alarm mode. I gave up and called a mobile repair.

Now the directions for my 07 diesel bounder clearly state that the engine must be running to operate the jacks. The coach was plugged into 50 amps but I have operated the jacks with the engine running and plugged in in the past (I think).

So the solution was to turn the engine off and operate the jacks and they worked. I am baffled. Has anyone else had this situation? Some kind of AC interference with the power gear board? Sounds like a story to me but it worked.

You're correct about the manual stating that the engine must be running. I always ran mine ( I don't think they would have worked otherwise ) and was frequently plugged in.
Here's a link to that manual for others to see.

I have posted PG's email address many times on this forum. They may have saved you a lot of frustration and money. Once again , they're address is info@powergearus.com .
They respond very quickly and have called a lot of members here ( they will call if necessary ) to walk them through a few error modes .
I would shoot them an email if I were you and see what they have to say about what happened to you. Please update us if you do.

Have read here on iRV2 some time ago to try this.
Plug in power cable.
Turn the ignition key to accessory position.
The slides & jacks work without starting the engine.
I have tried this & it works fine.

I believe there is interlocks that require the manual brake be engaged, trans in park, and 13 volts or greater to the jack control panel to be able to operate the jack system. With just the converter providing power to the chassis battery(s), the jacks will deplete the battery voltage below the low limit, and not allow the jack system to operate.
