Atwood Levelegs on my rig running flawlessly AFTER I reworked them. Just have to be careful not to overwork them.

Good evening folks.
Just fired up the RV and the level system stopped and said I have a left rear level issue. Tried the reset with no success. Called all of the local RV shops in northern Illinois and all said no time to even look at the thing til late August. Full panic set in and then I found this thread.
I have read the entire thread from start to finish over two days. Planing to take apart the break and see if I have moisture in the boot. Going to clean, seal, silicone, etc on all of the breaks-jacks. Excited yet nervous but so glad you guys take the time to post up and help folks with advice, links, and part numbers.
Wish me luck and keep posting up folks. Threads like this are simply awesome.

I realize this is adding to an old thread but still thought worth posting.
Decided to order two jack boot kits from Fleetwood. They arrived in two days.
Cut the boot on the bad one and it was all rusty. Soaked it and cleaned it, let it dry and still wouldn’t work. Removed and replaced that brake with a new one and reset the system and boom. Another one was bad per control pad. I tore the boot off the now front one and saw some rust. Not much but since I had an extra brake kit, I replaced it.
Then I was able to manually lower each one about 5” and then reset system. All jacks then came up with no issues. Seeing how simple it was to simply remove and replace the jack brake, I decided to order two lore and thus have all four new.
Next I plan to get the boots all installed with stainless pipe clamps and some silicone at the tops of all boots. Provided this works and all functions well I am going to clean all magnets again as suggested. As well as get some flex seal style product and spray these things in hopes of sealing them even more.
Advice to folks that dont mind the 176$ per jack brake kit is to simply replace all four when one shows up bad. Best to do it home when you want to be somewhere random where you don’t.
Thanks again for folks who added to the precious 57 or so pages.
Very helpful!

I had the left rear jack fail on me a couple of months ago. In the process of trying to "reset" everything, I heard a clunk, then the right rear jack fell.
Upon doing some research I learned of the brake corrosion issue. So, long story short, I took BOTH rear jacks off the coach, took them into my hangar and took them all apart. Both brakes were severely corroded, one motor was shot. So, I ordered a bunch of parts ($1200.00+) I plan on putting them back on this weekend to see if I fixed them.
The front ones seem to be working just fine. But I think, just for peace of mind, I'll manually lower them and clean all the magnets and leg parts of them too.
Then reset and calibrate the system.

Follow up: I did the final "reinstalls", secured all the wires, did as much as I possibly could to make the jacks a new as possible. I followed all the instructions in the manual for proper operation, and low and behold, I pressed the button and the "wonder jacks" performed flawlessly.
I call them "wonder jacks" simply because, I press the button, and wonder if they're going to work.

Nothing against this thread, seems there are many dedicated, painstaking mechanical owners who have gone the extra mile + to fix and operate a truly bad PG system. PG has sold out to Lippert, they now send repair work to M & M Electronics (419) 965-2662, who sound like they will work with fixing the system.
I am going to do a backyard fix. I will extend each individual jack motor wiring to the outside of my coach, where I will raise and lower each jack using a 12V jump starter. Yes, I will be on my knees in the dirt but PG had me doing that already.

Power Gear Jack Problem
Thanks to all who have contributed and provided a wealth of information. Over the past 5 years, I have had and resolved many of the problems described with the help of this forum.
Now, I’m hitting a brick wall. I’m I need of a 140-1224 control board.
The sad story. While having other work done at our local RV repair facility I asked them to replace the LR brake to correct a “slipping” / Jack creep issue that we’ve been living with for awhile. I upgraded the LF some years ago myself but had not done the other 3. The repair facility suggested upgrading so all would be the same. Guess What. System dead. This reinforces “don’t fix what’s not broke”
Went through all the fixes. All the jacks work with power applied to the respective connectors. Sent board and touch pad to M&M , they declared it unrepairable - bad microprocessor.
Talked to Lippert about an alternative control to drive the jacks- no go.
Fleetwood, Lippert, M& M, Visone,Colaw,Camperid, Amazon,eBay, - no stock of needed part
Need to replace board but none available so far. Still looking. Does anyone know where I might find one.?

Thanks, I forgot to include them in my “already” list.
They showed one on their web page but had zero stock.
Appreciate the input
