I have a new Fleetwood Fiesta 08 and by the third trip I hung up the RF jack about half way up. I could manualy raise or lower the other three but the RF was dumb. Went to the Dealer and the Super Tech had a secret code sequence that he put in and WALA the jack moved. He then homed and reset the jacks and they work fine now. Does anyone know the sequencing to reset a dumb jack? There is nothing on the Power Gear Web site about these codes.

Welcome to Power Gear! Here is what I have learned. When one jack fails you need to run it down manually for 5 to 6 seconds. This can be done 2 ways, first hold the right front jack button and press the manual button. If that does not work you need to by pass the control panel. Do do this you need to find the power gear control box under the coach. Mine is where my propane tank is located and misc fuses. Unplug the the wires to the faulty jack and hook 12 volts directly to the wiring harness. (I use alligator clips and some 12 gauge wire.) Just reverse the order to make them go up an down . (Positive/Negative will go make them go up while Negative/Positive will make them go down. or vice versa you will figure it out). After you manualil run the jack down, you should be able to go back in the coach and reset the system. Do this buy pressing and holding the on / off button. You can also reset the system by pressing the auto, manual and retract buttons at the same time, but I believe it removes the safety limits from the jacks and you could shear a pin. The system does not know when do stop retracting the jacks and you may over retract. I hope this helps. I have been fighting power gear for along time. I have given up trying to fix the problem and now I am just trying to play along with the system. I still think the problem is tied to moisture and voltage issues. The last two jacks that failed I cut the rubber boot off and found lots of rust. Good Luck! Feel free to call I can speak better than I type. 912 222 5595

New Fleetwood Fiesta, third time out and I hung up the RF Electric Jack half way up. I could move the other jacks manualy but the RF jack could not be seen by the controller. Took it to the Fleetwood dealer, a 75 mile trip and the super tech put in a bunch of codes and WALA the jack retracted. He recalibrated them and they work find now. BUT this looks like a big problem waiting to happen again. They gave me lots of information, don't push the retract button a number of times as you will sheer the retract pin, don't put them down on an unlevel serfice, i.e. one in a gutter or sand as they will freeze. Does anyone know the special codes to retract them? They are not on the Web site nor in the manual. Whoops a double post....
