Yeah-I've been inflicted with problems. The leveling system(manual) won't extend the jacks. Power Gear - Lipper pump according to Cmp/Wld.
1.Fluid in the reserviour (full)
2.Pump runs when button is pushed on pad. All lights work as supposed to...
3.Both rear jacks were down appx 1" and raised fully when the retract button was pushed today.
4. When attempting to lower nothing goes down. (Front or rear)
Any ideas anywhere????
No power - I could understand & fix. Low fluid - I'd fill the tank.
The system operated normally last Sunday. Of course one could fall over on the way to the fridge.
Thoughts-solutions-ideas
THANKS.......

For the jacks to work, two things have to happen. 1. the motor has to run. 2. the solonoid has to open, allowing the fluid to go to the jack. It sounds as if the motor is running, but the solonoid is not opening. Remove the control board and look on the back. You will see several fuses. They don't look like normal fuses. they are they shape and size of an asprin tablet. Black in color. They have 3 prongs that plug in. You will have to test them with a meter to see if they are blown. If all the fuses are good, you probably have a bad board. ($500.00) ouch!

One other thing before you buy a control board. If the fuses are good, which I suspect they are, check the dump valve. The dump valve could be failed open not allowing pressure to lower the jacks. The last thing you did was open the dump valve to raise the jacks. I always work my way back from the last operation before failure. I think the dump valve has a green wire attached to it.

Two questions:
1. where is the dump valve located?
2. Is the control board under the control panel?
It all sounds like the motor is not connected to the pump ie just turning.
Thanks for the sugestions.

Sorry for the delay. I was waxing the MH. The dump valve is one of the solenoids on the valve block at the pump. The dump valve has the green wire. Switch the dump valve with another valve. If it works after switching valves around then replace the origional dump valve. The control panel is the user interface panel that has the control buttons and indicator lights on it. The model # is in the upper left corner something like 140-1226.

Take a look at this manual and you will find a troubleshooting chart that applies to your jacks somewhere in it. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/15918372/Jac...ice_manual.pdf

Your unit probably uses the newer control module that is separate from the switch panel. It will be the unit on a short cable attached to the switch panel. Same logic is used for both.

I think maybe you have blown the main harness 10amp fuse or you have lost a ground connection.

If you are talking about hydraulic jacks, To extend the jacks you start the motor running and open the valve

To retract the jacks you open the same valve, but without running the motor

Same valve, it's located about 1-4 inches from the moter and the reservoir tank. Part of the same assembly in fact.

As stated in the opening post: Everything worked except the pistons on the jacks. No up - no down. Problem was a bad pump. I replaced the old one with a used pump. Everything is back to normal. Thanks for all the good advice.
Safe journeys...
