Your inverter/charger is probably direct-wired to the batteries so it can charge them whether the disconnect is on or off. That is fairly typical of Fleetwood coaches with standard inverter/chargers. The inverter itself, or its remote, should have an on/off setting for at least the inverter function. My Xantrex RV2500 is always active for charging and the "Off" position only stops the inverter function from operating. It will still show charging statu, etc., when shore or genset power is on. Yours (a Magnum inverter, I think?) may be different.
The EMS (power management) doesn't affect the inverter operation. If you see Gen on the Intellitec display when connected to shore power, it means the EMS is getting a +12v signal from the genset start switch circuit. That's how it recognizes the genset is running. You may also have lights on the genset remote start switch if this happens. It means something is miswired or shorted. It's not serious, but the EMS turns itself off (no load management) when the Gen light is on.
