Powergear Slide Questions

2006 discovery 39v with the full drivers side slide. The rig had been parked camping in sunny so-cal for the hydroplane races for two days.

I was able to bring the slide in as normal, until it was time for the "secondary latches" to extend. There was a faint noise that tells me that power is at least momentarily reaching the motors for the latches, but no movement from them. (either of them, front or rear)

I've searched through the owners manuals, but can't seem to find a description fitting my problem.

My questions for you guys if you have the time to answer:

1. For the purpose of future searches, what is the appropriate name for the secondary latch motor/mechanism? Just to be more clear, these activate a lever type mechanism at the top of the slides to secure it while traveling.

2. Anyone had issue with these not extending/not activing the lights on the panel that indicate the slide being safe to travel?

thanks ahead.

Have you tried searching on this site or internet? Lots of slide out info...Have you tried calling customer support at Power Gear/their website for manuals (for electric operated slide motors) or Fleetwood?

When our slide out close they just close flush to the body, I don't hear any locking.

Good Luck maybe someone will reply with better info!
