Hello All

I have a Progressive Dynamics Converter that I installed it today. When I disconnected the old converter I had the battery disconnect switches in the off position, and when I removed the 12 volt power leads I heard the relays click. When I was finished hooking up the new converter the ( 9280 C with Pendant) the pendant was blinking fast and the house batteries were charging at 13.65 volts. I tried to turn on the chassis battery relay and nothing happened. I pushed the battery connect switch on the dash and it would not work. They both worked before unhooking the old converter. So the chassis battery is not charging. Whats wrong here? PS the chassis battery was almost dead because the old converter did not put out enough power. 12.99 volts

Thank You

There is usually a direct 12v feed to the batetry disconnect relay, since it needs 12v to turn the relay back on and it can't get it from any other source but the battery itself once the disconnect is done. My guess is that you left this wire off the battery when you swapped things around. Or maybe hooked it to the negative post instead of positive.

If you can read a schematic and follow diagnostic procedures, print this document http://dl.dropbox.com/u/15918372/BCC%20Package.pdf and you will find your problem.

Thank You all for your Help.

The new converter is doing it's job. All the batteries are charged. Also all of
the switches are working. It was low battery voltage.
