Question proper mud flaps 97 fleetwood southwind

what is the best type of mudflap to install on my motorhome. had purchased a solid rubber ultra guard complete with angle iron, took to body shop and due to no extended frame to receiver area, cannot do...should I get one that mounts on receiver, or can the purchased one be modified...where can I get one here in Canada, mainly Saskatchewan.

any info appreciated

thank.

You can use the ultra guard with angle iron. Just hang with a few links of chain to allow swinging and there has to be some frame in the rear to attach too as your reciever is back there. I mounted mine to the reciever by drilling holes in the flanges leading to the frame from the main cross bar on the reciever. Just add links to get the correct clearence to the road.

Fleet Farm

we replaced all the mud flaps behind each tire. We bought a bar type that mounts on the receiver hitch (can still use receiver) that covers the whole rear end of MH.from fleet farm for $149.00. I am not sure if you have a fleet farm up there but maybe find them on internet. The top has cross metal i am not saying it right. Ours came with a whole for the gennie exhaust pipe

Thank you Jack for the kind words.

At DuraFlap we make the back mud flap to hang from the frame. Sometimes you need to drill the holes in the frame to mount it if there are not any unused holes in the right location.
Then you hang the mud flap with eyebolts, D rings, Clevis's and chain from those 2 mounting points.
I would not want anyone to have to return something they already have, but maybe you can cut the rubber you have shorter and hang it in the same manner using our powder coated angle iron and flat bar to sandwich it between. Or make your own.
We will be in Gillette in June for the FMCA show if you are going to that event and need some help.
