Pulling the trigger 2007 Fleetwood Southwind

Hi All! We've been looking for 2 years and are finally pulling the trigger on an 07 Fleetwood Southwind 37C. I feel we are getting a sweet deal! Full body paint - new tires in 2015 - very clean and well maintained - no leaks or water marks. There is a small crack in the shower, but it can be easily sealed, which we will do immediately. It only has 9k miles - good or bad? The current owner is the 2nd owner. He purchased in 09 and only put 2500 miles on it, however he ran it every month and changed out fluids every year. Should I be concerned due to the low mileage? The bank we're going through requires a visual conditional inspection but not mechanical. Should i have a mechanical inspection done prior to purchasing? We are purchasing the service contract via Good Sam for 50 monthly. Thank you for reading and I look forward to hearing from you! Oh and this is our first Class A - we've owned many travel trailers but this is our first motorhome and we can't wait to hit the road!

Most state inspections are worth the cost

I wouldn't worry to much about low miles, especially if they did yearly oil changes and any other maintenance

Southwinds are very nice motor homes. I had an 07 32V the same color as the one you're looking at. Always advisable to have an expert look it over prior to buying. I personally wouldn't be concerned about the low mileage, but I would have someone look it over just to be on the safe side.

Can't really see well by the photos, but doesn't look like I see "Triton V10" badge next to the entry door. If so, it's on a Workhorse & you'll need to be sure the brake recall has been done. Also, that looks to be a 4-door Norcold fridge - make sure the recall/patch fix has been done.

As others have stated, have it gone over by a trusted RV mechanic. Well worth the money spent.

Looks great, but do as the others have mentioned and you should be good to go. Have safe travels and enjoy.

Hi, No I don't mind sharing. Last year he was originally asking 69,900 and he reduced it this year to 65,900 and I offered 59k and he accepted :-) They are retired - he still owes 60k on it so he's taking a loss, but he doesn't mind as he wants to move on to purchasing a home.

So the bank is doing a visual inspection not mechanical. Does anyone know what the visual entails? I'm assuming they just check for water marks, rust etc but thought I'd pick your brains. Thank you! Jodi

We have this identical model with a darker interior. We love it have had it since new. very little problems. Make sure you use a power surge protector. have repaired Microwave twice. 25K miles but heavy use than indicated by mileage. WE do a lot of local gigs. God Bless and enjoy.

Nice looking ! I would change all the fluids/ chassis lube and replace the fuel filter, if the entire rig looks that nice and the seller has service records I would ask to take it for an hour drive on a highway then fill the water tank and make sure all interior appliances, water pump, inverter and batteries are good and write a check
