A friend has 1998 Eagle, the inverter and charger have quit. Fleetwood no longer uses this inverter and has no parts. My question, has anyone found another source or know of any spare parts? Is it possible to replace it with a new inverter and ATS? Any and all information is appreciated.

There were/are only a few manufacturers of inverters/chargers for any brand of MH. Find the brand name and do an internet search. You will probably be able to find parts. Yes you can replace the existing inverter.

I beleive, but am not sure, that that vintage of Eagle used a Xantrex.

Try Walt's RV Surplus, 909-823-0563. I've been there many times, he has a lot of RV parts.

Contact Kevin Mallory at CruisingamericaRV.com. Kevin is a retired from American Coach as an electrical engineer and now runs a RV upgrade business that specializes in American Coach. He has lots of stuff for vintage Eagles and knows what you need to solve your problems.

Call at 419-852-0791 or kmallory57@yahoo.com. You can mention my name if you like - I'm a happy customer!

You may have already fixed your coach.

Your right in that Fleetwood/American Coach and Xantrex neither have any parts.

Our coach is a 2000 Fleetwood American Eagle. It is currently in the shop getting a new Magnum Energy MS2812 inverter/charger along with a Surge Guard transfer switch/surge protector. I wanted the pure sine wave unit as we will be powering computers and LCD tv's all the time. It ain't cheap, but my inverter/charger will be the same as the 2010 models. Hope I never have to do this again!!
