Radiator leak when parked

I have a 2012 American Couch Revolution 42W. The side mounted radiator seems to have a small leak from time to time when I am parked. I never had to add more than a gallon of coolant. I am facing North in Florida so it gets hit with the sun a large part of the day. I tried to see where it was originating from but without really tearing into it I can't find the source. Anyone else experience anything similar? I an headed to Decatur next week for service so I will have them check it out . I was toying with the Idea of putting a sun shade over the radiator grate when I am parked.

I'd check the clamps on the radiator hoses.

Are you sure it's from the radiator? It may just be from your air conditioner.
Check and see what color it is.

It would be easier to locate the leak if you add pressure with a pressure test kit. Good luck!

Pretty hard not to miss the red color! Of course some people believe their motor home is a living, breathing, machine so it might be blood!

Red fluid indicates a leak of transmission fluid, possibly the transmission cooler on the radiator.

The color of healthy engine coolant is green (for ethylene glycol) or orange (for Dexcool)

Yea me saying red was kind of a joke. I know the difference between coolant and transmission fluid. It's just I don't want to tear into it when I paid up front for an extended warranty. I will let the techs in Decatur figure it out next week.

I had a 2012 American Tradition and the radiator leaked...had to take it out to weld it in a couple of places
Now,it was on a Spartan, and I had 3 motorbikes on Spartans and all of them had radiator problems...C

Fixed

Well it is fixed. Radiator cracked and non repairable. New Radiator from Spartan 1860.00 plus 12 hours of labor at 125.00 per hour. My extended warantee picked up the full cost minus my 100.00 deductible. I had to fight them for it as it seem this is the way they do business. They are quick to take your money but don't like to pay out. I have a USA travel care policy. It is the only thing we (read "my wife") ever bought an extended warantee on and we are at least a few thousand ahead on this deal. If you are ever in the greater Grand Rapids Michigan and need a great repair shop give the guys at Speed Wrench a call. https://www.speedwrench.com/ I am so impressed with their level of service and quality of work. They do it all from servicing your coach to diesel and gas rebuilds.
