I did not get a radio manual with my Bounder and I would like to enable serius/XM and connect an iPod to the AUX input. There is an XM antenna on the roof but when I select 'Sat' it displays 'contact serius. All of my other sat radios are XM and when not enabled they automatically tune to Channel 1. Channel 1 is advertizing and instructions for XM.

Does anybody recognize this unit? What is it? Given that information I can probably find a manual online.

Thanks,
Russ

Thanks Steve. I did that and their response was to offer to sell me an owners manual. If the radio won't work with an iPod I'm going to replace it anyway, so I'm reluctant to spend anything on the manual at this point.

All I need is a manufacturer and model number to find what I need. I figured that someone here would have the same radio.

I have the same radio if nobody chimes in I'll go by tomorrow and get manual. I'm not sure but I think the surround has xm and car radio has Serius now the same company. We use it with a iPod with a apple iPod fm modulator.

Thanks everyone.

I wrangled it out of the dash and found a label that says 'Visteon 4059056'. Nothing on the Jensen site references either of those strings. Same for Visteon. I have the tools to crack the case and get the markings off the boards and track it down that way but it's probably more trouble than it's worth. It remains a mystery.

I fished around behind the dash and did not find the Sirius receiver anywhere within reach, but I suspect that one is there because there are no unused connectors on the back of the radio and there is a SeriousXM antenna glued to the roof. We currently have 4 XM receivers in our house and 3 other vehicles. I personally installed a couple of XM receivers so I kinda know what to look for.

As for the surround system having it: It was a Zenith and did not have SeriousXM. Moot point. I removed it and put in a BluRay system.

If it has a Visteon part number it is a Ford radio. If the radio was saying contact Sirius, contact Sirius. They will walk you through the procedure to get the EIN out of the radio and activate it. You can get an adapter for that radio that will plug into the AUX input in the back of the radio from Precision Interface Electronics (PIE) that will allow you to plug in an iPod.P.I.E.

Russ,
I have the same radio and it is a Visteon and Fleetwood uses River Park as their Audio/Video component source. Their web site is River Park, Inc. National Distributor of Mobile Audio Products and you can download installation and user manuals. It is not an XM service but Siruis and to activate Sirius you need to find the remote sat receiver box that is plugged into the back of your Visteon radio and on the sat box is the receiver ID number. When I first got my motorhome I called Sirius, Ford customer relations, and each gave me a sequence of numbers on the radio dash that was supposed to give the radio ID but none worked. In frustation I finally called my dealer and he said "Oh, the number is on the bottom of the external sat receiver box." The box is approximately 5X4 inches and mine was attached with Velcro on the floor beneath the radio.
