The monitor screen for rear camera goes fuzzy after driving for about 1 hour. If I push the on/off button the picture is clear again. Is it worth repairing the monitor or would it be better to replace with a colour monitor system.

We had the same issues a couple years ago with our Weldex CRT monitor. Replaced it with a LCD monitor & also replaced the B&W camera with a color one. Much nicer, although we've had a couple issues with this one going blank from time to time. Connections are tight, so I think the problem is with Weldex's quality. If I had it to do over, I'd find some other brand.

If you post the year and brand of your coach and the camera and monitor it would help since there are a lot of different setups out there.

I won't be able to help as the only time my b/w system gets blurry is in the rain (we don't move in snow) and it does blink off when I am traveling directly down sun, solar overload.

Just replaced our system with the new Weldex color upgrade because they no longer support or sell the B/W system for our Bounder. Love the new system but not thrilled with cost of replacing a system that was only three years old.

Where did you buy your color system from. I talked to RV Cams in Baton Rouge and they have a replacement for the B/W Weldex we have now. He said it was an easy bolt in swap for $675.00

I had an original Weldex B&W system and the monitor would occasionally black out. Replaced with new color Weldex camera and Voyager 7" color monitor. Rvcams.com also sent a universal mount and adapter cable. All went well and works perfectly. Wow -- much sharper image. My only gripe is the awful restocking fee for the mounting bracket I didn't need. Damned piece of metal was $ 75 to start with. Take away restocking and felt damaged. But they're good folks and Tim knows his stuff.
Monitor looks fine ..

RV Cams tested my Weldex camera for free. They said they would test the monitor for free also but I sent them just the camera. The monitor is such a p.i.t.a to remove I figured I would just replace the whole system if the camera was ok. In the end, it was just the camera. As stated, they are good folks to deal with.
