went to start the m/h today and the main battery was dead. used the aux battery to start it up. when it started a message came up on the screen that read REDUCED ENGINE POWER along with the little engine symbol.
engine ran rough for a while and than cut out. restarted with the now charged engine battery and no more reduced engine power readout or little engine and engine ran smooth as always and left it running for about 20mins without incident.

any idea of what the readout meant and was it because the battery was dead?
thanks

It was probably because the battery was dead, low voltage.
20 minutes of running did not recharge the battery. Put it on a charger until it is fully charged.

More than likley it was because of low voltage. The Workhorse does not like low voltage. I know when it is time to get a new battery when I start the motorhome and I get that message on startup.

The engine control monitor and the Tranny ECU may both report false errors under low voltage conditions.
