Ref ESN # for Satellite Radio

I have 2006 Bounder Diesel 38N. It came from the factory with a "Visteon" Satellite ready FM/AM CD Radio. Serius needs the "ESN" number in order to activate the system. I have looked all over the exterior of the radio for these numbers, with no luck. The instructions says to press the SAT & the number 1 button at the same time to get the ESN #. I've did that a 100 times, in different combinations, all it will say is to call Serius, they say to call Visteon (all you get is an answering machine).

Any suggestions!

Not sure this will help - from a Google search:

There has been a change in the way that a customer gets his/her ESN number for activation of their Sirius satellite radio package when using the Visteon DLP unit with the new “Z” series radios. (CDRS and CD6S)

The process before asked that you press the SAT button and preset 1 at the same time. This would in turn bring up the ESN on the display which is required by Sirius to get the system activated.

The process now requires the customer to hit presets 1 and 6 at the same time. This will now bring up the ESN number that is required for activation

Go through the channels, you will get to one and it may be channel 1 that will have the radio info such as the number your looking for.

As Jchet mentions, I know that with XM, if you tune to channel 1, it will display the radio ID - it's possible that Sirius does the same. If not, you might have to remove the radio from the dash as the number is likely printed on the back.

One thing to keep in mind, does the radio actually have Sirius enabled? Our 06 Toyota Sienna is 'XM Ready' which means that the radio is compatible with a XM tuner that is sold separately (which costs several hundred dollars plus installation). By itself, the radio does not recieve XM signal.
