Replace Flexsteel Captain Chairs

We have a 2013 Providence 42P. We're thinking of replacing the Flexsteel captains chairs (both driver's & passenger's)

Any brands (manufacturer) to consider? Where to buy? Where to see? What option should we look for? Heated/cooled seats? Air ride (cushion)? Leather?

You are probably best off replacing with new Flexsteel seats--they come without the floor mount because you keep that portion of your existing pilot's chairs. Much less expensive and less complicated too--wiring should be plug-n-play.

We are going to be doing that soon, partially because ours are worn out (both cushioning and surface), partially because we want some narrower seats to give us more center aisle space. Ours both have electric positions and heaters, & co-pilot's has electric leg rest--I didn't think to ask about cooling (have that in the toad, but not sure how it could be done in the MH.)

We visited Bradd & Hall in Elkhart so we could test the various options and choose the model we want--there are 5-6 options I think, plus a variety of colors/materials. All we have to do now is assemble enough pennies....

Have you considered a long haul truck seat with air suspension? I only want to do this once. This coach is going to be our last.

Flexsteel sells two lines of Captains Chairs--regular and deluxe. I would guess that few, if any, OEM seats are the deluxe ones. Two years ago we replaced our OEM seats with FlexSteel Deluxe chairs upholstered in Ultraleather and were quite pleased. They were bought through and installed by Bradd and Hall in Elkhart IN.

Truthfully, no. I'd love to have long-haul truck seats with air suspension, but the pricing is, for us, out of reach.

We've done so many other upgrades (floor, replaced dinette booth with credenza & table, induction cooktop, residential fridge, recliners, Trav'ler satellite dish and more) we need to take a financial breather.

In any case, we just turned 101,700 miles and it's only on the worst long-haul days over 350 miles/6-7 hours that the seat becomes really bothersome. Not too many of those--we try to avoid drives over 5 hours and even those we usually share. But new seats will be next up.
