replacing batteries

My motor home would not start if I did not use the assist, so I was beginning to change the batteries, all of them. They all read 12 volts and seemed ok on a load test.

I was changing out a house battery on a 97 fleetwood southwind storm and while pulling out the battery a wire touched the frame, causing a spark.
Now I have the new battery in but it will not start even when using the assist button.

Checked all fuses and the only ones I have no power to under the hood are the ones for the ignition.

Could I have knocked out a relay?

When you replaced your batteries did you reconnect the ignition wire and what wire did you touch to ground?

You probably tripped the two 30amp DC circuit breakers inside the BCC box. The BCC is probably located behind the front grill, left side, just in front of the drivers position.

Open the cover and look along the bottom of the box (not on the circuit board) for two breakers that look like the photo. The little black button in the base is a reset button.

Hope this helps.

BTW - This will not fix your initial problem of not starting from the chassis battery. You either have a dead chassis battery or a bad connection to it.
