A service tech took our 2000 37V Discovery for a test drive after doing some work and went too fast over some uneven ground. The motorhome rocked so violently that it threw stuff out of the cupboards. Our coffee maker fell on the kitchen sink, shattering, and taking a 50-cent size chip out of the porcelain. We are going to insist they replace the sink, but before I talk to them I was wondering how much of a hassle it's going to be to replace it. I just want to go in with some knowledge of what is involved. Anyone have any experience replacing a sink in a D?

Thanks

Greg, I don't have a D but if your sink is mounted on top of your counter if you look under counter there would be clamps holding it on top of counter. If your sink is like the 2006 galley there may be clamps or it is fused to the under side of corian counter top with a glue. They would have to disconnect all plumbing drop sink down and turn it to get out of hole. You say its a porcelain sink and not corian so it should not be that hard to replace. If it was corian they would have to replace the whole counter top also. "007"

The outfit that did the damage has agreed to pay to have the sink replaced. Fleetwood is shipping out a new sink to a local RV repair place. Total cost, including labor, will be about $425.
