FWIW
The big diesel pushers are not built on the same line as the gas coaches. There are at least 2 lines running side by side in the main factory. What really got me is during the very first steps of production there is a team of workers on their knees all day that do noting but lay the tile floors before any walls are added. I don't know what they pay those guys but it probably isn't enough.

It does sound good. However, they are open to all brands. Also, I've been to one of these service centers and, barring some type of catastrophic event where a local RV repairer cannot fix it, will not go back.

Now the are Indiana, Southern California, Oregon, Texas, Nevada (In Construction) and rumors about a Florida location. I don't know about anyone else but after warranty and if my coach needs repairs the first place I would take it is back to the service center. They have the most competent technicians, parts supply and seem to be able to fix things faster. The shop labor rates there are no different than a dealers service department are.
Imagine having a chain of reputable quality service centers exclusively open to REV owners. [B]This will force dealers to step up their games if they want the service business and give REV a step up on the competition in after purchase support which won't hurt sales.

Or will the dealers do even worse and want you to take it to the Factory Service allowing them to do what they do best. SELL

I spent a week and a half at the Decatur facility and talked to many of the employees both at the service facility and the factory, they all said rev was a great company to work for and that the wages were the best in the area, some commuted over 50 miles to work each day. The work performed on my coach was top shelf , the one thing that impressed me the most was everything I was told would happen did and follow up after completion was comforting.

Agreed about the ones laying the floor. Mine looked like the leftovers of a dogs breakfast, the dealer did a repair, then I completed the job to my satisfaction.

When there last month at the Factory Service Center and taking the tour the story being repeated was that the new REV/Fleetwood CEO spent a couple of weeks working on the factory floor incognito. Upon taking the reins a group of employees got their pink slips due to what he observed them doing while working on the floor.
Don't know how true the story is but I'ld like to believe it.

It's always interesting to read the many complements and complains owners have concerning their RV. I have owned diesel pushers and gassers. Two Winnebagos, a Tiffin and now my Fleetwood. My experience has been that they all have QC issues from time to time. That it was part of the journey. I agree with whoever said the best manufacturer is the one that fixes all of your issues correctly and with a smile on their face is the best. Also, I feel that if you buy a MH that has no issues you are very, very lucky.
Tiffin's great reputation is not because they have fewer QC issues on their units, but is because Bob Tiffin will work on your motorhome till it is fixed and right. I really liked my Tiffin DP but I also spent more time than I wanted to at Camp RedBay, AL. Of course the Tiffin factory is in Red Bay (two traffic lights), a small town in the middle of no where and you wonder where all the workers live that work there. I believe they have 60 or 70 work bays now and a campground, on the premises with over 100 sites. There are also two private campgrounds just off of the Tiffin property. Another thing I liked about Red Bay is if you got there and you were way down the list to get into a service bay, many worker at Red Bay, if the issue is not to major, will fix it on the side for you if you will take your RV off of Tiffin property. Tiffin will only give you an appointment for repairs if your coach is still under factory warranty. If you are out of warranty, sign in and get in line. But the best part about the Tiffin Factory was that you could leave your coach and tell them to call you when it is done. I would leave my coach then drive over to Tunica, MS, stay at one of the casinos and roll those bones. Made the repair experience much more pleasant.
But I honestly believe the biggest problem that all MH manufacturers have is hiring quality workers. I've seen too many examples in the last ten years. I saw a bumper sticker recently that I think is spot one. "Give people my work ethic, not my money"

I've been to the factory and one of the new maintenance centers not in Decatur. Decatur was top notch, fixed my serious complex problem and other issues I did not even mention...all without charge, all when the warranty expired. I will go back to Decatur...but that's all.
