A month ago we purchased a new 2010 Revolution 42W. Great coach, but the usual new coach issues.

One of the issues is the kitchen sink will not drain properly once the gray water tank reaches 1/2 or so full. I've taken to LazyDays to have repaired but they and Fleetwood are currently at a loss as to how to repair.

I think it sounds like a venting issue and wondered if this is a problem isolated to this particular coach, or if there are problems generally with the Revolution where the kitchen sink is on the full wall slide.

I don't know about your issue but I can tell you we just got our Revolution back and one of the things they had to do was replace the black tank sensor as it was showing 3/4 to full when it was really only 1/4 full ... perhaps your tank sensor is malfunctioning too and the tank really is full? You could fill it with fresh water until it comes to the top of the drain then empty it into (5 gallon?) container(s) to measure? This is not an uncommon problem with coaches.

Thanks for the reply. Good thought, but to test LazyDays filled the tank well over 3/4 full by the guage. It just starts draining slowly (very slowly) at about 1/2. Until fixed, we just know to run water in that sink slowly while the tank is between 1/2 to Full. I will admit I haven't filled to Full yet and filled the shower, but if coaches work like boats it's only a matter of time before I do.

Sounds like they may have plumed the drain pipe to far down into the tank. When it gets half full the water is against the bottom of the drain pipe and slows the flow of water. We ran into this a couple of times at our shop.

Hadn't thought of that. I'm going to pick up the coach tomorrow and I'll mention the positioning of the drain in the tank.

thanks
