K we have traveled many miles in two years in our 34000 mile 1997 35u Bounder, and have kind of got used to the roll and swing of the rig. But really does it have to rock from side to side so much, what have the old bounders done to calm it down.

Thanks for the ideas
Jerry

The only Rock and Roll in my Bounder comes from the radio. I think that you'll find that front and rear sway bars may help as well as new shocks ( yours may be 15 years old).It also may be caused somewhat by your driving habits. Taking turns and bumps too fast can do that. Good luck. Hope you find a solution.

PS

You may want to tell us what chassis you have.

I agree with Cliff.

Replace the sway bar bushings and the shocks, regardless of chassis. Best bang for the buck.

If you are still not pleased there are other products (eg. track bars) that may be able help more but the costs go up accordingly.

I have a 98 F53 ford. I am assuming yours is a ford because it is 35 ft and no tag. Ford has a big problem with this period chassis. The rubber bushings in the sway bars are crap. Check the bushings and replace with polyeurathane.

Check your springs and see if they bow down to the ground.
You can measure from you floor seam trim to level ground to see how far off the box is, passenger side maybe your low side.
A good spring company can balance the box load on chassis to ride level.
Fords of that period had suspension problems supporting the MFG's coach box.
I had two one I had leaf springs added all around 98 and the 99 I installed Air Lift bags all around.
Added new shocks and track bars made it a much improved ride,no white knuckle's.
