We have a rocker recliner in our 2003 Southwind 36t. While we are driving it rotates around & hits the wall. I have looked & looked but I can't find a lock to stop the swivel.
Any ideas to stop the swivel would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Rick

Rick, go to "FIND" just above you and type in "rocker lock" you may find your answer there.
Take off the check mark in block.

The rocker in the '04 32V has a lever at the right rear bottom (looking at the back) that rotates a lock down to the swivel stand and props the chair forward. I doubt you have this, cause its pretty hard to miss if you do.

Our recliner in our 2003 Southwind has the handle wilanddij described in the previous post. This is the small black, metal handle that rotates the two metal tabs down to the floor, not the large handle that controls the recliner's positions.

Thanks guys,
I looked again yesterday, but still could not find a handle.
Thanks Bluewind, I will look harder for that smaller handle. I did notice two tabs at the back of the chair.
I will keep you posted.

Rick

Thanks again for all of your help.
I built brace tha tfits between the chair & wall when secured to the floor. It is made out of plywood & has styrofoam on either side to protect the wall & upholstery of the chair. Seems to work fine.

Our Bounder rocker chair has that black handle but I never noticed the tabs. I wondered what that handle was for. The dealer never told us about it & our chair has, too, been rotating around during travel. There's a bracket to lock the round base to the floor, but I didn't know about that handle. The chair kept hitting the window shade, surround & pull out table. It rubbed a small tear in the fake leather on the back corner of the chair I'm going to have to repair. Now that I know what that lever is for, I'll lock it down so it'll push the chair forward & keep it from swinging around. Thanks!

We also have a Southwind with a rocker recliner, but ours has little pull levers (they are black plastic) about halfway down the side from the left armrest. One releases the chair to swivel, the other doesn't work, but I think it would let the chair go forward and back (like the passenger/driver seats in your car will go forward or back for more legroom). I have looked underneath the chair and there is a cable from each of these little release levers. Perhaps yours has something like that and the cable has come unconnected? Ours rocks when driving down the road and makes the unlucky passenger in that seat carsick. The recline mechanism works by a brown handle on the right side similar to the handle on a LazyBoy chair...

I don't believe that the rocker recliners are designed for passengers when underway. I have never seen one with a seat belt. You might want to rethink where the additional passengers are going to sit.

We have a 2003 Bounder 35R and the rocker did not have a lock. At a trip to the factory, they installed one for us. Your dealer should be able to do this for you.

To keep mine from rocking while traveling, I went to Lowe's and bought a door floor stop made of rubber. The one that looks like a wedge about 1.5" high and maybe 3" long. I put it under the rocker on the rocker arms and wedge it tight. The rocker does not turn or rock.
