Roof question '01 Southwind

Ok, next question. I'm having the motorhome detailed on Sunday before we leave for our first trip out. What is the best way to treat the rubber roof? Is there something special that I should have for the detailer to use on the roof? Should he just clean it really good and if so with what? Sorry for being so ignorant on this but I can't remember what to do about the roof.

Depends on the type of roof your coach has. If its rubber clean it and it needs a special treatment applied once a year. Fiberglass I would have it waxed

It is a rubber roof. The detailer is coming Sunday so I have to get whatever treatment is required. That's why I am asking this question. Can you give me an idea of what I need?

I followed your link. That seems like a lot of money. How many bottles would it take to do a roof?

I also use the 303, I buy it by the gallon but 16 oz will easily do the roof at least once.

Though there are products for Treating rubber roofs.. The best advice I have seen is to mop it, Spic & Span Bucket, Water, Mop (or a long handled window washers or an wash brush might work better than a mop)

Hose it down to rinse and that's all folks. While it's clean inspect for damage or worn spots and repair as indicated with Dicor caulk or Eternabond tape.

So far, going on 9 years, that's all i've done.

You can shop around to find the best price. I just used the link to show you the product. I too buy it by the gallon. I use it on everything from camper, boats, atv, trucks.

I've never seen it by the gallon. Where do you get it and about how much does it cost? I live in So Cal so it will probably cost more here.

My 2002 Fleetwood Fiesta has a TPO rubber roof. I wash it 3 or 4 times a year with water, Dawn dishwashing detergent, and some bleach mixed together. 12 years old and looks brand new. Always stored outside. Never been treated with anything.
