Rough ride & low mileage 010 35H Bounder on Workhorse

Have just purchased this unit. Very rough ride. Any suggestions? Also only getting 6MPG pulling a 96 Town & Country in relatively flat terrain. MI & IND & northern IL Appreciate Suggestions.

Welcome to irv2. I had an 08 35E. Basically the same MH and I had what I considered a smooth ride for a 35' gas coach. What tire pressure are you running ? That would be where I'd start. .

Mileage sounds about right towing a relatively heavy toad.

Old or New shocks /tires and tire pressure? MPG sounds OK. Check without the toad.?

Ride & miliage

My 2003 Pace Arrow 36B rode very hard and once the TV almost shook out of it's holder. After reading many posts, I had Koni's installed and now it rides better and is easier to steer when a semi passes.

Regarding mileage, I tow a very heavy 1998 for Explorer, and get 7.6-8 MPG when I drive flat lands at 55 MPH. (the legal limit in CA) When I creep up to 60-65 it drops to between 7-7.5. The key to MH mileage is tire pressure and cruise control. I find that if I use my cruise control I can add about 1/2 MPG. As tire gauges can be off by as much as 10%, be sure you keep your tires at the recommended pressure. 10% is 10 pounds on a 100 pound tire so buy the best gauge you can afford.

Happy RVing

Craig
