RV SnapPads for Bounder

Hello, I have a 2019 bounder 35k. Was thinking about snappads. The front levelers only have about an inch of space between the top of the leveler pad and the mudflap. Has anyone put snappads on a bounder and if so did you have to cut a portion of the mudflap?

Thanks in advance!

Same experience on my 2017 33C no mud flap or ground clearance issues at all! Love them, low impact on old men's backs!

What size was needed for the 33C?

The Prime version - for Power Gear levelers, same as 35K. Least that is what fits on mine

So always something new to learn! I had not previously heard of snappads. DW is always wanting me to put down pads for the jacks even when on level and stable ground. I found some on Amazon and they appear to be pads permanently attached (snapped on) to the base of the jacks!
Am I missing anything?

No Bob you are not missing a thing! And you certainly won't miss sliding pads under your camper anymore!

Just pulled into a luxury RV resort that required pads under the jacks and I said, "no need, I have SnapPads!" No issues fitting them, I think they do gently touch one mud flap. No clearance issues.

Bummer....not happy to hear these things work really well

In the 5 years we have had the Bounder, we have stayed at a lot of nice resorts and only had 2 resorts that wanted pads. They supplied them since we didn't have any. So, we never bought anything, hardly gave it a thought.

Then we stayed at a place in Tennessee, Anchor Down RV Resort (awesome place). They required pads but didn't lend them. Had to buy them at their camp store. Needless to say, all they sold were cheap plastic pads...they work, but tough on the knees.

I almost bought the Snap-pads before the trip, now kicking myself since it sounds like these things work pretty well. Saving pennies for Snap-pads someday.

sad...Ron

I looked at the Snap Pads when I first saw an ad for them. After some thought I decided against buying them. I can see an advantage to having them if you were only parking on blacktop to keep from scratching the blacktop but they aren't large enough to distribute much more weight than the original jack pads on your levelers. I don't see enough advantage using these on soft ground to justify the cost. Instead I cut 4 pieces of 1/2" plywood 18"X18" and installed a screw eye into the edge of each one. I can use the rod I have to pull my awning down with to slide the plywood pieces under the jack pads or use the rod to pull them out. If you don't have an awning rod you can make one out of 1/4" rod or threaded rod.
I carry a full compartment of blocking to aid in leveling my MH. I stack as much as I can under each jack so I don't have to extend my jacks a whole lot. This makes the MH more stable and I believe it's less strain on the jacks. I have blocks 1", 2" and 3" in thickness 12" square that I carry in the compartment. All of my blocks have screw eyes in them too. I stack these blocks on the 18" square plywood pieces to help spread the weight out.
My jacks run low enough even when fully retracted that I worry sometimes when going down a dirt road with some pot holes or pulling into an uneven spot. Adding the extra length to the jacks by installing the Snap Pads might be a problem. I have noticed a couple MH's with Snap Pads missing one or two. I wonder what happened to them?
For those who use the Snap Pads successfully then good for you. I'll just do my leveling the old fashioned way.

this is what I use when placing the blocks under my MH. I don't leave home without it.

On the Bounder they add 316% surface area (increase from 10" to 13.25")

They save you having to crawl under to place a protective pad when required.
They protect the jack pad.
They increase pad surface area. I've had no issues on gravel.

I keep a selection of blocks and pads in case I get a really wonky spot but most places I press the Auto button and I don't have to even get out of the coach.
