Thank you everyone for your inputs!!!! My Standard Definition TVs now receive the outside (on the ground) satellite dish signal. I still don't know where the cable run is, but that has taken on way less importance since it all works.
The DirecTV tech came out, temporarily installed a "tuner" (looks like a plug) in the cable inlet in the service bay, then used a second gadget to check each and every cable in the receiver area - a sort of continuity check. Turns out the Park Cable fed straight to the VCR (UHF-In), not the old Sat receiver like I was told. We hooked the new-found cable to the new SD receiver (SAT-In), and bingo, we have TV in the front and back.
Now that THAT problem is solved, I need to figure out why the roof-top satellite elevates itself, but does not move even a little bit to skew to the correct coordinates.... it's always something, eh?!?!
Thanks everyone for your inputs!
