Serious about a Fleetwood Pace Arrow
Hello,
I am looking at a 2018 Pace Arrow Lxe 38k floorplan. I own a Thor Synergy. Love the chassis and engine but not enough room in it for me.
Are there any owners of the Pace Arrow that could offer advice. Pro's and Cons"
Bill

Tiffin, Newmar, or Entegra are best considerations. IMHO. Quality, service, support, etc.

While it's been awhile , we had a 1999 Pace Arrow Vision. We put nearly 150,000 miles on it with essentially no problems. Best Motorhome we ever had.

Well I bought it today. I am excited to get it next Friday. Going to tow a Jeep Wrangler behind it. My dog, Buddy, and I are going to see the country.

I just saw your post, I bought a 38K back in December but traded after a couple months for a Discovery.
There were several things we did not care for, but mostly its towing capacity is VERY VERY limited. I will private message you my phone number if you want to discuss.

Wow and you did move pretty fast after first posting and not wasting much time with would be replies. Anyway, enjoy your new ride, but do weigh it loaded to roll and do the numbers with the Jeep in tow. Not a problem normally, that I can see, but may be on those long 6% grades, if anything like these specs and maybe a call to mmorgan is in order ... https://www.fcccrv.com/wp-content/up...rrow%20LXE.pdf

I agree, one day asking for opinions and bought it the next day. Even I didn't move that fast with the present rig.

The single biggest reason to consider a new Fleetwood product over any other brand is their corporate mindset to customer service. Fleetwood has factory service centers in IN, TX, OR, CA and soon if not already NV. I have experienced dealer level and service center levels of customer support and frankly there is no comparison. I'm surprised that other manufactures have not followed Fleetwoods lead in this area.

Yeah well, have you heard the latest with drastic changes taking place at American Coach, as we speak? Seems that tech support will no longer be as it once was. How bad, we'll have to wait and see, but Debs is retiring and Robert has been reassigned, so hard to believe that this is just for one of the REV Group brands and that the rest hasn't already followed suit.
Even if not, that won't change the construction faults on the subject at hand and if they had just put in an Allison 3000, instead of a 2500, the problem question, would never have arisen in the first place. But, hey, that would have cost another dollar and better if they just keep the customer in the dark, until after the sale. mmorgan hasn't been the only one to surface, either. I think it's nothing short of false advertising myself, by indicating that just because a rig has a high hitch receiver rating, that it can pull that amount all day long on any grade, at any ambient temp.

The 38K floorplan is available in several different Fleetwood products all built to a pricepoint. You get what you pay for. Pace Arrow, Discovery, Discovery LXE and now the 2018.5 New Discovery. I can only hope that the OP has an honest dealer that can point him to the right price point to meet his needs.

I had reported this in a previous thread but in the pace arrow that I traded, with full fuel and water and towing my Chevy equinox which by the book weighs 3700 pounds, I was overweight by 200 pounds.
That was me and the wife with very minimal gear on board.
Loaded up for a trip of any duration the 38K will easily weigh 30,000 pounds or more depending on what you are hauling around. That only leaves 3000 pounds for towing which eliminates most vehicles.
And there is a world of difference in performance between the 340 horse power ISB and the 380 hp ISL with the 3000 transmission.... it’s all about cubic inches and the torque.
