Servicing our Bounder
I'm coming up to an oil change and service. First time while on the road. Since most parks prohibit doing maint in the park, how do you complete maint? Sure, I could crawl under and drop the oil &a filter, without loosing a drop, at midnight but.......

Look for somebody who can handle box trucks. Around here there is a place that specializes in heavy truck tires and has a pit so they can do oil changes, lube jobs, brakes, etc. Not sure how you would make out at the places that do diesel trucks but it is worth an ask as long as you don't mind no for an answer. They probably do know who would do gas trucks.

I bought oil filters and oil at Walmart and stopped in truck service places along the way when a change was due. Never paid more than $40.

I put a fumoto valve on the oil pan, made a drain pan the snaps on the front axle to catch oil from the filter change and use a pressure tank to push the seven quarts of new oil in. I use a service mat and change the oil in any large parking lot I can find, takes about 15 minutes.

I have a mightyvac MV6400 fluid dispensing system, I used a heat gun to form the end section into a "J" so I can hang it in the fill tube, the hose is just the right length so the tank sits on my service mat , it works great, saves time and avoids the mess associated with trying to use quart bottles on the F53. The engineers must have had a good laugh when they designed the location of the oil fill tube location on the class A chassis.

My experience has been that when a tool has to work, you get what you pay for. Spilled oil in a parking lot can get expensive.

Do you have a pic of the pan that snaps to the axle? I hate cleaning that up!

I'm no good with pictures but I took a metal cake pan 11" X 16" and welded a 4" piece of 1 X 2 angle accross one end about 3" in, I rest the pan on top of the axle under the filter with the angle hooked on to the I beam to hold it in place, I remove the old filter and put it in the pan, the pan also catches the dripping oil from the filter, then I install the new filter and remove the pan and pour what oil is in it into the used oil jug.
