Shower Rails

Hi all,
Our Bounder shower has a three piece glass door. The bottom rail that allows the doors to slide has three sections. There are small rectangular openings in each rail, supposedly for draining water, but the water does not drain. I am having a heck of a time getting the excess water out of the rails to keep them clean.

Anyone else have this problem and/or a suggestion? Thanks.

Debby

Shower Rails

The water should drain. Possibly , you're not level . Even so , they're hard to keep clean. Tallulah cleaned them weekly with paper towels , qtips and a little window cleaner or vinegar and water.

Hi Debby, Cliffs suggestion is right on the money. I would only add, the DW at home uses a mini bottle brush which has stiff bristles, when she runs it inside the tracks, it clears the drain holes very quickly poking through the holes. Better than when I tried a tooth brush.
As for our Pace Arrow, I removed the gold frame channel for the doors and installed a expand-a-shower rod. Since that has been put in she uses our MH shower everyday. I still like the campground shower for the extreme water pressure, but have to admit it is soooo much more comfortable. I'm 6'4" so it can only ever be so-so with a MH shower.

Amen on the shower curtain. No rails to clean or trip over, no rattles, no glass to fall through, more room and easy to throw in the washer or just buy a new one.

We have shower curtains in our MH and our house.

Yeah, those channels are a real pain to keep clean. A tiny bottle brush works best. The water should drain, if the holes aren't clogged. I don't perfectly level the coach, ours is a hair curb-side & rear low. This allows the water in those shower door channels to drain into the shower pan & (as for the rear low) allows rain/ac condensation to drain out the rear gutter spouts.
