Hello everyone.

We are 3 weeks into our new to us 2007 Fleetwood Revolution LE. We love it.

A couple of questions.

1. Can someone tell me if our slides are electric or Hydraulic? Reason is #2.

2. The driver side living room slide sometimes does not want to come in. Going out it works fine. Coming, some times it hesitates and you have to bump the switch multiple times as the slide only inches is. Once the slide gets in past the place where it has to get to the floor level, it then comes in no problem. Can’t tell if it’s because it’s cold or an electrical or hydraulic issue.

Any ideas? I used dry slide on the gear strip but cannot get the screws off the motor cover plate. Can’t figure what they are. Look like Torx pan head but can’t get any size driver work.

We have the same coach.

I have had that problem before and realized that it was due to weight.
Try removing some weight from the slide area and see if that helps.

Thank you for the response. Only thing in the living room are the coach and dinette. No added items for weight but worth a look into.

I noticed that when I run it out and then right back in it seems to work fine but if the slide sits extended for a day or two, when you push the button you hear the click and the slide inches in roughly an inch. Then you keep doing it till it gets past that depression and then it goes in no problem.

Could it be a cold thing? Also with the slide out, I went under to take off the access plate to see the motor and rollers and cannot get the cap screws off. I tried every tori size and they just don't engage. Also allen wrenches same thing. Are they some weird headed screw?

Are you doing this with the RV plugged in or the generator running? Is sounds like a voltage problem. You can watch your voltage when you try to bring it in. If you are plugged in it should be 13.1 or more
Or, check the slide motor mounting bolts. They loosen over time and can cause this problem. Both big slides need to be periodically tightened.
Or, it could be the slide switch is not making good contact. Press it firmly with your finger or thumb and don't wiggle! Others have had this issue and had to buy a new switch.
I personally vote for the second option.

They are square head screws, They might look like 8 sides but you only use #2 square (Robertson) drive.

Our Revolution has to be running to work and I found that the driver seat has to be fully forward for slide to engage. A safety precaution I think.

Replacing the switch would be great if that’s it. The kitchen and living room slide are the same retract or extend switch with a separate switch to determine which slide to work. The kitchen slide works like a charm by the way.

I can’t seem to locate the motor access on the living room slide. When the slide is extended and you are under it, there is a large full width cover with square head pan screws which encloses the gear and what I think also the motor. Need to confirm that however.

BINGO!!! You were right. #2 Robertson screws. They looked like a torx but found a square bit that fit.

Will get a new bit so I don’t strip them when I take them out.

Do you think this full width cover is hiding the motor and it’s access?

LOOK UP!!!!

I opened up the storage locker under the slides and like and behold the wiring, motor and all the workings are completely open and easy to get at.

The engine is suppose to be running operating slides per manual.

On my 2005, if I start the engine, my airbags fill and my jacks come off the ground. Fleetwood told me six years ago to move the slides after I level, so raising the jacks makes no sense.
So I either make sure I am plugged in or have the generator running.
My equalizer jack system does not air level. Maybe yours does.

My coach has to have air bags dumped and then leveled with jacks. I do this before I ever move the slides. Thank you for your comments. Much appreciated.

On my 2007 manual says with engine running since they run off of chassis batteries. On mine air bags will not inflate until you hit retract jacks. Once bags fill jack will retract.

Thank you Rooster. Mine is same. You can move the slides in and out with ignition key on but I only do so with engine running. Also on my Revolution the driver seat has to be full forward or driver side living room slid will not even begin to move unless dear is forward.
