How do you replace part or all of the inner slide seal? It is the living room seal on a 2001 pace arrow vision. The inside wall seal at the back side top. With the wood trim there isn't much room to work. Looks like metal trim holds seal. Trim is held in place with screws. I only need to replace about 10" inches at top corner.
Could I do it or would it have to be taken to dealer??

Any Advise would be great.
Thanks

If you take it to a dealer they are going to simply remove the wood trim, and with the slide 'nearly' closed, they will replace the seal. I would suggest that you replace the whole seal from one corner to the other. If you have a 'joint' in the seal along the top you are inviting a leak. Good luck. Oh, don't stretch the seal when measuring or applying or it will eventually contract and pull loose.

Jack,

That is my problem? I don't know how to remove the wood around the slide. Maybe I should ask that question?
I could do the front part next to the drivers seat easy. But the back part I can't get to.
If anyone knows how to remove the wood frame around a living room slide please give me some advise.

Thanks

On our Discoveries the wood trim along the top and sides has a separate insert strip that is stapled and lightly attached with adhesive. If yours has an insert of wood try carefully prying it loose, without damaging it, or course. Then, behind this strip should be the screws that attach the larger strip.
