can't locate passenger side bedroom slideout motor on 2006 Discovery 39L. Looked in all appropriate storage compartments and spent too long staring up from underneath. Help?

Hi RBruner,

Have you looked under the bed which swings up?
Most slide mechanisms are located under the wooden sheathing.

On my 2008 Bounder, raise the bed, remove the bed frame and then remove the wooden sheathing just as Steve said. Check first if you can get the sheathing up without removing the bed frame. Mine has four screws.

Jim: Thank you....the motor I'm loking for is not for the side with the bed - it's motor is under the portion that raises up and has storage. Could the motor for the other side slideout also be under the bed side/slide section?

Sorry, my bad. I was thinking your bed slide, but you're looking for the cabinet/closet slide motor. Since I don't have that slide I don't have that slide I don't have any idea. I don't think it would be under the bed however. Have you removed any drawers or if its a closet the floor sheathing may be removable. If you can't find it, call Fleetwood customer service Monday and they should be able to direct you. Have your Fleetwood ID number when you call. Good luck and post back where you find so others will know.

I had a slide that creeped out while we were traveling and I found the motor and locking mechanism by sliding under the coach where the slide is. You can't miss it.

location of non-bed side bedroom slideout motor.....inside coach behind panel under drawers on slideout. Had to remove trim piece that was stapled over screws that removed the panel and revealed motor mounted over the forward rail. After eliminating everything else, taking apart the slideout was only option left. Thank you to those who made suggestions. Fleetwood customer service tried but had no clue.
