I'm i need of replacing the slideout toppers on my Southwind. Has anyone done this? I would prefer to do it myself if it's not to hard. Any particular place you can recommend for the parts? What should I expect to pay for both toppers? Any other useful info you can provide would be great, thanks for the help...

Not a difficult task at all. These folks provide a material that is better than the OEM material at a reasonable price and custom made per your specs. Good Luck www.rv-motorhome-answers.com/rv-slide-out-topper.html

Not a bad job at all, I did mine when I had a fifth wheel. I used Shade Shack [ www.rvshadeshack.com] Good price and very fast. They'll need measurements though. Good luck.

How was the shadeshack material compared to the OEM stuff? I was looking into another company who claim their fabric is thicker and lasts longer. Thanks

We have replaced all of our slide toppers. It's not hard at all. We found an excellent source for toppers. They make them out of Marine grade Sunbrella, which is very durable, and the prices and quality IMHO were considerably better than Camiping Worlds. The web site is www.shadpro.com. hey also ship for free.

The link supplied here comes up with something other then slide topper material. Maybe good if you want to make a movie.

Indeed... but you can add an "e" in the appropriate place, to make it www.shadepro.com and all becomes clear.

Last week I ordered mine from ToughTops, they shipped yesterday for delivery on Wed. the 15th. Just a little less than $300 for two, incl shipping. They come in four colors, since our rig is mainly gold we got the sand color.
