Southwind: How to shut off residential fridge
Hi all. New 2019 Southwind 34C owner here. This isn't my first RV, but my first with a residential refridgerator. In my old RV, when not using the coach, all I had to do was put the on/off button for storage. What does everyone do with the residential fridge, pull the fuse?
Thanks,
Darryl

I'm guessing inside the refrigerator it has an off/on switch (or on the outside lcd panel if it has one), or you should have a breaker in the breaker panel for the refrigerator. My RV is older but my breaker panel is at the bottom of the bed

I have a 2019 36P. With mine I turn off the inverter and turn the house battery disconnect to ensure the refrigerator is off while in storage. I don’t believe there is an off button on the refrigerator itself, at least I too haven’t found it.

If there is no Off position on the fridge temperature control (really?), turning off the 120v circuit breaker for the fridge circuit is probably the easiest way. Either of those will prevent it from running, whether on shore, genset or inverter power. The breaker also prevent the interior light from coming on, if you want to leave the fridge door open to avoid mold.

You should have a instruction manual for he fridge. It will have operating instructions.

I do have the manual and have read it, however its geared towards residential use. It doesn't speak to being shut off when you are storing between trips or for the winter.
Seems like the breaker will be the best route.
Thanks everyone for the feedback.

How to turn off Fridge
Hello.
On my 07 Fleetwood Revolution LE, we had the same issue. NO shut off on the fridge itself and it is a name brand residential. After looking everywhere we found the shut off for it.
Under the queen bed. You pull up the bed cover and there it was. an on and off switch. Never thought it would be there but i was originally looking at the Bedroom Slide motor and that's when I found it. Wasn't naked anywhere as it was a new replacement and not original to the coach.

On my 2019 Southwind on a different floorplan...
There is a black breaker panel near the floor. Mine is in the middle of the coach just outside the bedroom area. Hope these 3 pictures help you find it. Yours should look identical. Looking at your floorpan I would look in the area outside from your shower.
I also flip the microwave so the clock isn't one all the time.
Please let us know if you found it.
Good Luck!
