When I first bought my 97 I noticed the same problem. When I looked under I noticed the front sway bar end link bushings were gone, and where the rear sway bar attaches to the differential those bushings were gone as well. I replaced all the shocks and all of the sway bar bushings and grommets.. The coach drives like new again.
Maybe this will help.
Mike.

Not sure what chassis you have.

If you have a sway problem, try heavy duty sway bars for your chassis, especially the rear. Some coaches don't have any at all.

If you have the 'tail wagging the dog' problem, where the coach moves side-to-side, the consider a trac-bar application.

If you have a rough riding coach, consider Koni FSD shocks.

Not in this order; depends on your specific circumstances.

If you have a diesel chassis, then consider Motion Control Units for sway.

I switched from the original goodyear tires to toyos, and put 95 lbs of air in them. She's solid as a rock now, no sway, no upset with passing trucks. Rides like the ups truck she is tho, trading her on an air ride DP next week!

Thanks for all the information. I have a Workhorse chassis. I think I might look in to the track bar for the rear.

Hold up on any additiions to your coach.

I have the same coach with a WH chassis. I have had no problems with swaying issues and in fact it rides very well, even in very windy conditions. You should have the same experience with yours, unless you have suspension problems, low tire pressures, or improperly loaded coach.

I suggest you have a WH repair center check for suspension problems. With everything in good condition I believe you should not have sway issues.

Just another question with this thread. 97 pace arrow vision on a Chevrolet Chassis the air bags in the front springs. What pressure are they suppose to be. Right now mine are @ 35 to 40 lbs. I have no clue what they are to be. But if they are low it would cause the MH to sway I would believe. Thanks for any info.

Chevy calls for your MH to be 70 lbs. Some of the older units were a little less, but 97 was 70 lbs.

Don't know about a Worlhorse but on my 2004 & 2009 F53 Ford I installed a rear aux sway bar and a rear track bar. This made the biggest differents in the world no more two hand driving at 55mph it's one hand driving at 75mph

Judith,
Welcome to iRV2!
You should be running 90psi in your rear tires and 80psi in your front.
Have you checked yours?

Steve
