We have a Fleetwood Fiesta 2010 we hate the way it handles on the road. It moves around so bad when driving at interstate speeds around 60mph. The tail wags the dog we have installed the Davis tru track it helped a little but it is nowhere near great. We have been told to try a steering dampener and a sway bar for the rear we just hate to keep spending money if it is not going to help. Has anyone experienced these problems and if so how have you dealt with them?

Wow Bummer....What chassis is it on? A 2010 should not handle that badly Is the coach under warranty. How long is it? Give more info and maybe you will get better responses than mine. Good Luck D

Like the previous responders said; we need brand chasis, length, tire size and tire pressure.

I'm thinking a front end alignment is in order.

Start with the cheaper, easier things first, then go from there.

Maybe that is just how they drive?????????? If you look at an RV on the road or on TV they look great. But none of them drive like a car. They are just too big. Big Rigs don''t ride well either but they sure do look good.

I don't know what is classified as a big rig but mine drives pretty good. This problem pops up often about different brands. Did it drive this way when you test drove it or did it just start? Some chassis are over loaded and they sway, lean, wag I had one of those. It's never going to dive like a car they are a big heavy box going down the road.

It is on a Workhorse W22 chassis and there seems to be a problem they all incur. We have spoken to several people about it and everyone has a different opinion. There is a large hangover on the back of the chassis I mean a long distance from the rear wheels to the end of the coach. When we test dorve we didn't notice it so much but that is a short drive hard to judge. We really didn't feel it until we started on a long journey. It is worse when towing the car and it is loaded now. I am confident that something can be done but we are going to have to add some aftermarket things to help. I was just hoping that someone out there had fixed the problem and could help us.

Still need more info...length, model ??? Mine is a W22 Itasca 33V, it drives like a larger truck except for the yaw & pitch when in parking lots and back streets and I as DW says "took that turn too fast didn't ya ?"... out on the Interstates it is very stable, the Steer Safe stopped any minor tendence to drift and I believe once I get a set of Hellwig Sway Bars on it the yaw & pitch will be tamed somewhat.

This is the place to get help but the situation requires more data so folks can know how to respond. GOOD LUCK and SLOW DOWN and ENJOY !!!

If you are new to driving a large RV give yourself some wheel time before starting to add fixes that may not be necessary. It is a very common tendency for new drivers to oversteer. Try focusing further down the roadway and make very small corrections. It's very easy to spot new RV drivers as they wag their way down the road. Sitting right over the steering tires also adds to the sensation that the rear end is waging when in reality it is the drivers over reaction to the coach as it leans with changes in the roadway. Add to that a side wind and it gets real interesting.
Driving a car your eyes are focused further down the road almost automatically. You are looking over the hood and sitting much lower to the ground.
Don't be too quick to start adding after market stuff until you have determined if its the really needed.

It is a Fleetwood Fiesta 2010 model 36T in acuality it is around 38ft. We have driven it about 6000 miles now between the 2 of us and we both have the same problem with feeling out of control we don't drive fast around 60mph. When a truck passes you have to hold on after around 200 miles you are exhausted.

Have you weighed your 4 corners? Checked the inflation on your tires? Some dealers underinflate for a "softer" ride out of the parking lot :~)
