Thanks guys

Today I decided to do the CHF on the Bounder. After having read more about the CHF that any one person should do, I climbed under and got after it. Many of yall (we say that alot in Texas) recommended checking the sway bar brackets for tightness. Sure nuff, the driver rear brackets were finger tight. So thank yall (there it is again).
Having said that anyone know the torque for the sway bar brackets. Is there a web site or will I need to go to Ford on Monday? I put the loose ones at 66#, but don't have a clue if that is right.
This is a great sight for us newbies............

I recognize that name. You're the one responsible for my sore shoulders, sore arms, sore back and a charlie horse in each calf. A Crown Royal injection helped. Had a few problems trying to get the z brackets loose so I could flip them plus doing it here at the ranch on our drive which is road base (lemon size rocks), it went well.
We take a short ride to Austin monday to get the brake thingy done on the jeep and Bounder, so I'll post up my thoughts on the job.
Thanks for your discovery.

CHF number 1 was done on gravel campsite in Fairbanks so I feel your pain.

Good news about Fairbanks though was no worries about rattlesnakes, scorpions, Black Widows or tarantulas while lying under the motorhome.

Manley tight but not gorilla tight. Haven't used a torque wrench in decades. Only lost one nut/bolt so far.

Hey, don't forget my other neighbors: copperheads, ticks, chiggars, and feral hogs.....Lord have we got hogs.

I forgot about copperheads and hogs. Hogs weren't a problem yet when I lived in San Angelo back in the 70's. I am a chigger magnet so they're always a concern when I'm anywhere in the South.

When down south the hogs are so bad you need an AR near by for hog repellant!
