Am looking at a 2000 American Eagle with the original 12-year old tires on it. They still look terrific, BUT, I REALLY want to put new ones on after we complete the sale. What is a good size?

The coach currently has 275/80 R22.5... I've seen another with 295/75 R22.5... and read about folks using 315s as well.

The rationales given for larger circumference are increased carrying capacity and smoother ride. What are your thoughts, and what size will actually fit inside the wheel wells?

Also, do not mean to start a flame war, but what brand are you getting good performance on, and who offers them at a fair price?

Thanks for your help!

That's what I'd do. If the OEM tires are properly rated to carry the load, why change.

x3 on the size.

Hankooks get a good review from most that are running them.

Proper inflation for the load will yield the smoothest ride. Many over-inflate from fear of under-inflation yielding a harsh ride.

Eagles ride like a dream with proper inflation and ride height.

That sounds logical to me... as a new guy, about to buy six new tires, I had to ask though. Thanks everyone for your feedback!
