A couple of questions.
1) How do you determine the colors on a class A coach for touch up paint. Don't know if they corespond with some auto mfg. colors.
2) Where can you get touch up bottles of paint for a fleetwood class A on line?

AnotherGeorge, I got my info and touch-up paint from Fleetwood (1-800-322-8216). They should be able to assist you or tell where to go for paint.

My local dealer and I have an agreement; I'll be nice to them, if they don't jerk me around. Their techs love me while a couple of the service managers keep their distance. Seems to work OK for now.

In my closet there is a label that lists colors and numbers for all the trim and paint in the rig. Things like vinyl, carpet, trim, outside paint and stripes.

You might check there or another obscure location for that label.

Like Tincup, our paint codes (along with other coach info) are on a label inside our bedroom wardrobe. Our dealer told us to take those codes to any automotive dealer to get touch up paint.

Thanks for all the input. It's too bad the colors don't cross over to GM, Ford etc. colors.

Some of them do - I found one of mine in auto parts stores. It's GM "Light Chestnut Metallic"

Be cautious when converting from an automtive manufacturer's colour.I needed to buy paint for my MH.The "Cypress Green"quoted by Fleetwood as being the colour to match did not really match that well.It is an old Chrysler colour and seemed perfect until viewed in sunlight from a distance. It would appear the formulation used by Fleetwood had little or no metalic content while the Chrysler iteration had metalic content. This resulted in an apparent colour change.Since I refinished two basement doors(the aluminum was corroding and bubbling)the different appearance is pretty noticable.

I don't know about in the rv industry, but in cars/trucks there are color alternates. As I recall the General Motors midnight blue metallic had 9 alternate colors. If you can take your mh by the Sherwin store they can more cloely match the paint. Due to fading, you may need to paint area and blend into the adjacent panel (s). They also have a machine called a color eye that can get

Your paint codes are listed on the inside door of your closet. I needed some touch up paint for rock dings and found this company will mix paints for the right colors. They have a list of several Fleetwood colors already in the web site database and I emailed them my list of color codes and they mixed them for a perfect match and once they are in their database future orders are easy. I like the paint pens they make for quick touch up on rock dings but, you can order the paint in small bottle with brush in caps, spray cans or larger pints and quarts.

Thanks, Thanks, Thanks,
If they have the small brush applicator bottles, that is what I need, not custom mixed quarts. Thanks for this information, I am sure others will also be interested.

Me too. Only the label in my coach is wrong. I found out the hard way that my listed codes are for a Southwind, not a Providence.

Confirm with Fleetwood to be on the safe side.

Craig
