I have a 2006 Fleetwood Providence with a 350hp cat on a freightliner chassis.
There is a cat trip computer on the dash which gives avg mpg, instant mpg and different data on the engine. The problem is the location of this trip computer is on the dash at the base of where the steering column hits the dash. It can't be seen from the drivers seat or reached to toggle through the various data screens . I was wondering if this monitor lcd thing can be relocated if so how?
Anyone else have this problem?

That is built into the odometer display on my '04 and therefore part of the dash display module form Actia (they design the dash displays for Freightliner). Is yours the same? If so, moving it would probably be a major redesign of the dash electronics.

I was wondering about fabricating a bracket that neatly tilts it upward. It is a truly horrible location, I agree.

On mine it is below the instrumentation display. I ended up removing the dash cover and the instrument display panel , which allowed me access to the mmcd trip computer. I unplugged it removed it cut a hole in part of the dash to the left of the drivers seat then reinstalled. Took me about 2 hours. Toughest part was cutting hole in dash. Now I can see the unit and reach it while driving.
