Has anyone tried up swap the tub in this unit for a shower the same size? My thoughts are the shower will be easier to get into as age and continue to use this RV.

I have measured and it appears to need one that is 24in for the dept. The width can go out to the tub width. That will mean a narrow shower with maybe a seat on one side.

My concerns are:

1) Will the tub come out easily as is?
2) Will the shower go in easily as is?

I am hoping to not change much more and not have to do any major wall removal and replacement.

Before you go to that extreme consider ditching the glass shower door. We took the door out of ours and replaced it with a pleated shower curtain. Made a world of difference. As you know the bathroom in that floorplan is a bit cramped. Shower curtain really opened it up since it retracts all the way back to the wall and made getting in\out of the shower much easier.

We also have 2014 Southwind and have never considered the shower to be a tub.
The bottom pan is only about 6" deep, and any shower enclosure step-over wouldn't be much lower.
If you do tackle this project, please post photos with the current shower removed and also photos of the finished results.
