Cool Visibility of dash gages in bright light.

I have a 2014 35K Bounder and find I cannot read the speedometer and gages, easily, when the sun is bright and reflecting off the road. Ford says as the bulbs are not LED I cannot increase the intensity of the light output. It requires my eyes a few seconds, away from concentrating on the road, to read gage/speed activity. Any suggestions/solutions from others with this problem?

I have the same issue with my 2015. In order to see the gauges I have to tip my head backwards and look under my sunglass lenses.

Happens to me when driving into a bright sun. Not so much when the sun is behind me. I blame it on the fact that my pupils are smaller with all that light coming in my huge windshield.

Major problem with me, partly resolved. Ordered from Shae Pro a dash cover, that stop the glare from the glossy painted surface by windshield. Secondly, eye doctor prescribe a transition glasses, which I had doubts about. But, they do work better than years ago. The big windshield allows so much lighin the transition glasses will darken some, it is a help. Electric shade down 12 to 14 inches also helps. Your eyes must be blue or green, as mine are and those colors allow more light to enter the pupil, hence the glare. I too am still looking for more resolving suggestions. I know it will never happen, and if I were to do it myself it would be pricy I am sure. If Fleetwood or Ford I mean, change the white on black background to black on white, it would be easier to read. I had a Dodge Charge 2010 that had a black on white background and was so easy to see and read.... Good luck and if you hear of suggestions please post. Happy travels...
