We have this unit in our 2011 Tradition. It planned a 353 mile trip from Hot Springs AR to Vicksburg, MS that Garmin shows as a 240 mile trip. This is one of several occasions that it has done some strange things. We have the latest software version.

Anyone else had problems. I understand that American Coach dropped them on the 2012's

It is not unusual for any GPS unit to do that.

How do you have it set?
Fastest way?
Shortest way?


I have had my Garmin say it is 75 miles back home when I am only 12 miles from home.

Did American Coach drop them because they found a cheaper vendor?
Or because they got to many complaints about it?

I have,or have had, about every GPS configuration around. The issues with the Visteon I am seeing are not the normal variety. It had the correct coordinates for Hot Springs and was set for fastest route as was the Garmin. After multiple resets it still would not provide the most direct or fastest routing. I have had a number of issues that lead me to believe that the algorithms that their GPS program uses to access the Navicon data base leaves a lot to be desired. I have verified that I have the most current version. I would like to hear from an owner regarding any Visteon issues they have faced.

In a service visit to Decatur in Nov AC changed the Unit to the unit they are using in the 2012's. Works like a champ.
