Have a 05 southwind 32vs and having hot water problems.. the heater is on elec. but the water only gets medium warm. it used to get real hot . is there a valve of some sort not opening up? got up this morning and first thing thought i,d lite the gas , but the heater wouldn't lite . like maybe the thermostat was preventing it. any ideas where do you access the valve if one ? thanks Mabry

It may need a new heating element which could be encrusted with mineral deposits or the high temp thermostat is bad.
I have the same heater in mine but have never tried the electric side of the heater, always run the propane.

Go out and turn off the outside shower Hot & Cold.
See if you get hot water now.

Ditto what Triker56 said. Whenever we've got lukewarm water, it's because someone left the faucets open to the sprayer hose in the service bay.  It's easy to do since ya use the sprayer & then put it back in it's hole, forgetting to turn the faucets off. Close 'em & the water is hot again.

While you're checking valves, be sure the winterization bypass valve around the water heater is closed. I know, there's no reason for it to change position, but ya never know!

HEY Triker : You were right I had left the faucet handles open on both the hot and cold . Closed them and hot water again!! thanks for the info would have never guessed that was the problem. gotta call tomorrow and cancel the service call scheduled for friday..This why I like rv net so well the people have helped me learn a lot and saved me a great deal of money. thanks alot Mabry

I also found this info from the posters on IRV2. There's a wealth of knowledge on this forum...
