I have a 11 1/2' Lance truck camper and I am thinking about getting a motorhome. My wife really wants to have a bed that she can access on three sides. Sleeping is a problem with the camper. I have been looking at a 29' Tioga class C without slide outs.
My question, is this the best camper I can get for my money? I understand that Fleetwood products are the best out there.
What are your thoughts?
Thanks for your help.
Tim

I would not go so far as I know what model is "The Best RV". I have had several Coaches, Which by choice have all been Made by Fleetwood. I have had an A Coach 30 FT. The others have all been C. I now have a 2003 Tioga 24 Ft. I like the available sleeping afforded in the C.
If you have Children ,then they have a choice of the Big roomie Bunk over the Cab. The Dinette, which also makes into a bed. My coach also has bunk beds. There is still quite a bit of Storage space outside. The C is easy to park, and easy to pick up and take a drive to the near by sights.Guess Iv'e put my 2 cants in. Take into consideration of how much space you need and then go for it.
Happy times for you and your family in any you seem to feel is right for you
Geri

I as well as several friends have had Fleetwod products that were best described as junk. Others have had better luck. My current older 1995 Avion made by Fleetwood is OK. But there is no way to say Fleetwood id the best there is.

We decided 3 years back to buy a used high end coach instead of a new more reasonable one. After extensive searching and talking with owners we decided on the American line of Fleetwood. I would encourage you to drive many different types before you buy. We like the way the class A motorhomes sit up higher than the class C. I love driving in our class A as you can see everything around you. Also might want to consider the lack of slide. This is my first rv with a slide and oh my goodness, what a difference in space, and not that you will ever get your money back out of a rv but, no slide rv's have very poor resale value. But that can work to your advantage as well, if you dont need a slide. Hope this helps some.

And if I surveyed other owners of other products, I could find the same to be said for any brand out there. The question of "who's the best" is purely subjective, and the answer will generally be slanted towards what the responder owns.
I believe that the question was more like who was giving the most for the money? The last 3 coaches that we have owned were Fleetwood, trouble free, and from my research, had more "bang for the buck" than most. Another thing to consider is your dealer. Make sure you can live with him as well as the brand that you select - unless you don't mind longer drives to another service center.

Well, I really tired to get a Fleetwood class C but my local dealer closed their store and I decided to go to a Winnebago dealer. Needless to say, if you walk onto a lot with lots of great looking RVs, it is going to be hard not to purchase one. I finally ended up with a 30' class A and so far I am really happy with my new coach.
Cheers
