Funny this thread shows up right as I have this problem. I was trying to figure out what it is anchored to, called Fleetwood and they were no help. Is there another way to get under there for any issues with the slide or the air pump for the mattress if I go the rivet path?

I'll end up drilling it out and reriveting (is that a word?) Hollow wall anchors would allow you to remove and reattach.

The wall it attaches to is app. 1/8" thick luan.. not much to grab onto and not very substantial,.. that is why it pulls loose in the first place. I guess if you were industrious, you could locate the studs.

I saw the cheap 1/8" luan, what was Fleetwood thinking? I wonder why they used self taping sheet metal bolts to screw into luan other than they don't drill the holes in the aluminum piece beforehand. I may go the molly screw route as I have had to unscrew mine twice, once when the phone cord for the slide controller somehow had wires break at the plug, and the second time when I had to replace the Sleep Number controller. I am trying to be careful with what I decide to do as the wall is not that thick, and there is not much to grab onto.

I had the same problem in my '05 Providence last year. I wasn't sure what the best anchoring method was so I had my mobile RV tech repair it for me. He used rivets. So far so good.
