I recently replaced all 4 house batteries. The battery hold down clamps are a design I have not seen before but this is my first time replacing 6V batteries.

They appear to have been coated with plastic when new, but that's all gone.

I need 8 of them.

Thanks,
Muddypaws

I too need one, just one. $.50 part and $5.00 shipping probably so if I can locate them I'll buy several.

I can't clean it up, George. It broke!

Visit a local vocational tech school or community college and ask the instructor to have his/her machining students make you new ones as a class project. You would only have to pay for materials, usually.

I purchased 8 of them, for my batteries, earlier this year, but for the life of me, I can't remember where. Seems like it was "Sullivan's RV Supplies", but I tried to find them (the parts) again, online and couldn't. Maybe you could give them a call. The might not be putting them online. I think, they are one of our "sponsors". I'll keep looking and if I remember, I'll send you a reply.

Well dang, Gripper! Your memory sounds about like mine. Keep looking and if it helps Judy tells me to look next to the brown socks but then of course thats when I'm looking for my blue socks.

It would have taken less time to google "battery hold down clamps" than to post the picture. Over 1 million responses . . .some with photos, even.

Google image search allows you to match up a part.

Not exactly my first time around the block with web searches.

Google, bing, yahoo, ask, etc. all returned an avalanche of websites and images, none of which match what I have. Would anyone look at a million images and links? I think not. If what you want is not in the first 2 or 3 pages it's not there.

FW had them in stock. $7.11 each.

Whew! I have 997,313 more images to go and I'll head to the local eye doctor somewhere around 750,000 I suspect.

$7.11 each sounds cheaper than a new pair of glasses.

997,303 to go....nothing close.

Would it be possible to find a hold down clamp that you need at a local junk yard?
Just a thought.

I received 8 of them from FW yesterday. At a cost of roughly $9.44 each (with tax & shipping) they are a bit overpriced. But given the choices of paying 9.44 each, driving all over town going from one golf cart and/or battery shop to another, making them myself, or searching through 900,000+ google images.............

The new ones are not plastic coated but will be after I stop at the hardware store on the way home.
